 Terry Mason is one of the two original New Generation Mechanical founders. Terry’s 35 years of experience in the construction industry ranges from field mechanic to the overall management of more than 300 field employees. He has worked as a crew foreman and now holds the position of CEO/ President. Terry leads New Generation with his proven business strategies and his top performing team of managers and co-workers. His leadership and management skills have produced New Generation’s excellent reputation along with its consistent and profitable growth. Terry understands the business, its people, and the projects. His experience includes personnel, field operations, estimating, marketing and management. 

 Jana Burnett joined New Generation in 2006. As Chief Financial Officer, she is responsible for accounting and finance operations, treasury, risk management and human resources. Jana is a Certified Cash Manager and has 30 years of diverse experience in the construction, medical and transportation industries. Jana earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is a member of the Association of Financial Professionals, the Construction Financial Management Association and the Society of Human Resource Management. 

 John Lawson joined the New Generation Mechanical team in 2016 as Vice President. John manages the Construction Division of New Generation Mechanical with its high performing team of employees.  John began his career in the Mechanical Construction Industry in 1989.  Over the course of John’s career, he has managed numerous successful mechanical project teams to construct various Healthcare, Institutional, Industrial, Commercial, and Data Center Projects that ranged in size and complexity.  His experience includes estimating, scheduling, and management.  John earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Science from Kansas State University. 

 Mike Haid joined New Generation Mechanical in July of 2008. Since then, Mike has managed the Service Division of New Generation Mechanical and was promoted to Vice President in 2017. Under Mike’s leadership, the Service Division has sustained profitable growth and an exceptional reputation. Mike’s 20+ years in the Service Industry has provided him an opportunity to perform many different positions including: dispatch, scheduling, HVAC Technician, estimating, sales and management. Mike also holds a Class A Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractor’s License in Texas. 

 Tammie McDuffie joined New Generation Mechanical in 2019.  She is responsible for supporting the CFO in managing the accounting and financial operations, along with overseeing necessary internal and external reporting.  Her career began in banking, managing a $50 million portfolio with over 800 customers.  In her 15 years as an Accounting professional, she has worked with non-profit and for-profit businesses.  Tammie earned her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington. 

Michelle Cassidy joined the New Generation Mechanical team in 2015.  As Human Resources Manager, she is responsible for talent acquisition, employee engagement, and the overall optimization of the employee experience.  Michelle has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from the University of North Texas and has been working in the HR domain for 14+ years. One of her favorite HR mottos is “Treat employees like they make a difference and they will”.

Dean Tidwell has been with the New Generation Mechanical team since 2005 as the Information Technology Manager.

Dean manages all computer systems, company websites, mobile networks and building systems. He is a former

Marine and has more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry. Dean earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in

Technical Management from DeVry University.
